Peer Advising

The School of Education Peer Advising Office is designed to assist freshmen and sophomore students majoring in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Exceptional Education, prior to their admission into the Professional Education Program. Peer Advisors in the School of Education are upper-class students who have been admitted into the Professional Education Program and have been trained by professional advisors to meet the needs of our "pre-education" students.

Peer Advisors meet with students each semester to discuss students' course of study for the upcoming semester. To schedule an appointment with a Peer Advisor, please see the Peer Advising Appointment Availability, outside of 453 College of Professional Studies.

After seeing a peer advisor, students are also welcome to meet with an advisor in the SOE Advising, Recruitment & Retention Office during Open Advising or by calling for an appointment. We also encourage students who have chosen their majors and minors to meet with an advisor to set up a graduation plan.
