Description:

This course focuses on successful strategies for coaching, business, and life, as presented by one of the most successful coaches in the history of the NCAA, Mike Krzyzewski, Head Basketball Coach at Duke University.  The course design and assignments will cover the following:

·         Part A:  Chapters 1-4 (#1-Getting Organized, #2-School of Health Care Professions Your Team,  #3-Establishing Discipline, and #4-Dynamic Leadership)

·         Part B:  Chapters 5-8 (#5-Teamwork, #6-Training and Development,  #7-Turn Negatives into Positives, and #8-Game Day)

·         Part C:  Chapters 9-13 (#9-Post-Season, #10-Refresh and Renew, #11-Handling a Crisis, #12-Focus on the Task at Hand, and  #13-Celebrate Tradition)

·         Part D:   Chapters 14-17 (#14-Blueprint Basics, #15 The Cue of Character,   #16-Friendship, and #17-Life)

·        This is a Hybrid/D2L course. A short on-campus meeting will be required.  Students must attend a Saturday, June 14th, 10:00 am-12:00 noon group meeting and 12:30 pm- 2:30 pm for individual meetings in room 101 Berg Fieldhouse. The remainder of the coursework will be completed independently.

·        Additional coursework required for graduate credit.
