Description:

This course will provide a review of phonetic principles as they relate to the assessment and treatment of speech disorders. Participants will have opportunities to transcribe speech samples of individuals who exhibit a variety of speech disorders and differences, using broad and narrow transcription. Ideas for using phonetic principles to sharpen the auditory perceptions made by speech-language pathologists in will be discussed.
