** THIS COURSE IS HELD ON THE UW-MARATHON COUNTY CAMPUS IN WAUSAU.

This 3 credit course focuses on marketing theories and concepts.  It focuses on the best ways to promote, price, and distribute products and services.  The class lectures and discussions will elaborate on the concepts covered in the text.

Course Objectives:

This course seeks to familiarize students with information and research findings that are useful in understanding different marketing concepts. Topics include selected aspects of:

  • product development
  • market segmentation
  • pricing
  • promotion
  • physical distribution
  • services marketing
  • international marketing
  • nonprofit marketing
  • implementation of marketing strategies. 

This background knowledge is designed to equip students with tools and techniques for analyzing marketing opportunities that they would encounter during their career.

BUS 330 is a required core course for the UWSP business major.
