Carol Fisher (President)
Controller
Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation
Carol Fisher began her work as a Certified Public
Accountant at the Madison office of
Grant Thornton Accountants and Management Consultants.
While there, she served a wide variety of clients including
many not-for-profit and educational entities. Grant Thornton
also gave her the opportunity to be a Loaned Executive with
the
United Way of Dane County which gave her paid time away
from her accounting responsibilities for three months to
raise money full-time for the United Way’s annual workplace
giving campaign. After seven years at Grant Thornton, Carol
worked for five years at UW Madison’s
Chazen Museum of Art as their Assistant Director for
Administration. Here she was responsible for all
aspects of the museum’s financial and operational
management. While not primarily responsible for fund
raising, Carol was involved with planning the Chazen’s
on-going $40M capital campaign. In October 2007, Carol
became the financial controller at the
Wisconsin
Energy Conservation Corporation where she previously
volunteered for six years with their board of directors.
Carol’s personal interest in the environment stems from
her desire to live sustainably on the planet. In spring
2007, she added a 1.75 KW photovoltaic system to her Madison
home to help demonstrate how renewable energy is part of the
energy demand solution.
