Have students read "The Lorax" by Dr.
Seuss in class, then have them read the story of Easter Island.
Talk about the Tragedy of the Commons, similarities between the
fictional story and the real one, and have students fill out the
worksheet as they go. As a fun way to end the lesson, show the
students the Lorax video. The Lorax can be purchased online or
checked out from public library. The story of Easter Island can
be found using a Google search. |
