Understanding the role of aquatic plants in the ecology of your lake is a cornerstone to developing a sound lake management plan. Aquatic plants are as central to our lakes and rivers as the trees are to the forest. Loss or major changes in the make-up of aquatic plant communities can cause tears in the fabric of a water body’s aquatic ecology.

The Aquatic Plant Management (APM) Guide is designed to help you navigate through the world of APM in Wisconsin, including understanding laws and permits, planning, control strategies, and where to go for assistance.
