The Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education (KACEE) is doing a strategic plan revamp due to the enormous demand for services and potential for growth the organization is now experiencing. KACEE serves as the driving force behind capacity building, as well as the center for networking and collaborative projects for EE in Kansas. KACEE held a half-day plan process and assessment meeting and a one-day session to review KACEE's mission/vision, and to prioritize goals and action steps for the next 5-year period. The completed plan with statewide input is anticipated to be completed by October. Ginny Wallace from the Missouri EE 2000 team and NEEAP staff are assisting the KACEE strategic plan committee. The Kansas planning process provides an important practicum for a peer support service that NEEAP will start this year called the "EE 2000 Lead Team".
