Educators are the people on the ground who can significantly contribute to a child's understanding of our natural world. LEAF depends on educators to deliver the message to students that Wisconsin's future is dependent on the health of its forests - both urban and rural.
To this end, LEAF offers a variety of professional development opportunities and our highly regarded forest education curriculums for Wisconsin teachers.
Included in our courses are credit and non-credit as well as online offerings. Additionally, workshops and school-wide/district in-services are available. Check out the links on the left for more information.

community in a Moodle environment!

teach and who share your love of the outdoors? Need
ideas about teaching outdoors? Join
LEAF’s Online
Network!
To get started, email Dan Martinson for a username and password or simply visit our Moodle site and click on "create new account" in the upper right corner of the screen. Our Moodle includes ALL of the LEAF curriculum, forums for teachers to connect, a school forest community, news from LEAF and news our members post, a mechanism for sharing lessons, and, of course, the ability to grow our Moodle into what teachers need.
NEW!
Climate Change through Tree Planting
In this new LEAF lesson, students explore the role trees can play in
addressing climate change. Students brainstorm and
discuss the benefits that trees provide. They design a
tree planting effort with the opportunity to develop a tree
planting plan for their school or community.
