May 14 WHITEFISH LAKE WATERSHED TASK FORCE
The planning project task force will meet at the Wascott Town Hall on May 14, 2007 at 4:30 pm. The meeting will largely consist of updates from watershed research projects and discussion of lake water qulaity models from USGS.

June 22 NORTHWEST LAKES CONFERENCE
The 9th annual NW Wisconsin Lakes Conference will be held on Friday June 22nd, 2007 at Telmark Lodge in Cable Wisconsin. If you have never attended and wish to attend, contact someone on the WILCO board because we have scholarships for those who wish to attend for the first time.

June 30 ANNUAL MEETING:
The Whitefish Lake Conservation Organization meeting is set this year for June 30 at 9:00 am. at the Wascott town hall. The featured speaker this year is Wisconsin DNR wildlife specialist Fred Strand. Fred will be giving us insight to the many different animal species found in this unique area. It should be a very interesting presentation.

We will also have our annual Silent Auction to raise money for the Boat Landing Monitors. Remember to bring a silent auction item and your check book for bidding on great items. David Paddock (Smitty) will be on hand to collect dues from those who have not yet done so. There will be coffee and rolls served. Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday June 30th.

July 4 WHITEFISH LAKE BOAT PARADE

August 4 ANNUAL SWIM-A-THON & PICNIC
The 4th annual swim-paddle-a-thon is set for Saturday August 4th, 2007. It will start at 10 a.m. at either the Anderson beach or the Hanft beach (depending on which way the wind is blowing).

Steve and Janet Moore will be hosting the post-swim-a-thon picnic. Their place is located on the east side of the north basin, about half way between the northern end of the lake and Forbes' point. A big thank you to the Moores for hosting this special annual event!

Pray for lots of sun and no rain. We will once again have T shirts this year for participants!
