Community Planning Status
Winnebago County is served by the East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission which received $175,000 in 2002
from the Wisconsin Department of Administration.
The county received $41,925 in grant money in 2000 and $58,050 in 2002 .
The town of Rushford received $16,000 in 2000. In 2001 the town of
Clayton received $15,000, the town of Menasha received $30,000, and the
town of Oshkosh received $15,000 in grant money. See

County Planning & Zoning Department
This department oversees community planning and administers zoning and
subdivision regulations. It also administers and regulates state
mandated shoreland requirements, floodplain regulations, wetland
regulations and sanitary code regulations. |

Wisconsin has nine State Forests (Wow!): Brule River, Northern
Highland-American Legion, Peshtigo River, Governor Knowles, Black River,
Flambeau River, Coulee Experimental, Point Beach and Kettle Moraine
(North & South units).
