Grant Opportunities Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources "Brownfield Green Space and Public Facilities Grant." The deadline for applications is July 21, 2006. Green Space and Public Facilities Grants help local governments and tribes clean up brownfield sites for long-term public benefits such as parks, recreational areas, libraries and municipal garages. The Legislature designated $1 million for these grants in the 2005-07 biennium. Eligible applicants include tribes, cities, villages, towns, counties, redevelopment authorities, community development authorities and housing authorities. Training Opportunities
Primarily for counties where the new
livestock facility law and rule (ATCP 51) are having an effect.
The Wisconsin Counties Association, in partnership with the Wisconsin Towns Association, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) and the University of Wisconsin-Extension will be presenting an educational seminar on ATCP 51 (the administrative rule that relates to the siting and expansion of livestock facilities in Wisconsin), focusing on the implementation of ATCP 51 by local governments.
