GEM Student Ambassador Program
As a self-supporting, NGO-like organization working at the grassroots towards a sustainable future, GEM is a "can-do" solutions oriented unit for applied research and outreach education services in natural resources and environmental management.
One
of the past GEM student-centered and innovative initiatives was the GEM Student
Ambassador program, which selected students to
participate in field and research projects around the world, including Mexico, China,
Kenya, India and elsewhere. To learn more about GEM and its various programs

Global Environmental Teachings - GET

This program provides an opportunity to connect students and educators worldwide through environmental education. GET started as a collaborative effort between WCEE (Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education) and GEM but is now a program of the WCEE. GET applies practical learning methods and technology to help solve natural resource concerns by connecting teachers, students, and citizens worldwide. GET has sent teachers to study in South Africa, China, Puerto Rico and sponsored teachers from those countries to learn about Wisconsin's natural resources here.
