FAQs

Q. When can I apply for the next fellowship cohort group?

The 2011 cohort group positions have been filled.  You may apply for the 2013 cohort group after January, 2012.  Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled. Applications are accepted every other year, since this is a two-year program.

Q. When will the 2013 fellowship cohort begin?

Training and classes are tentatively scheduled to begin in mid-July, 2013.

Q. Do I need to have a College of Natural Resources advisor agree to accept me when I apply?

Applicants for the Graduate Fellowship program do not need to make prior arrangements for an advisor. There are three CNR faculty advisors for the Graduate Fellowship program.  Each applicant who is accepted into the program will be assigned a primary advisor during the first semester when they select their project.

Q. Am I required to live in housing provided at Conserve School?

Q. How long do I have to finish the Master's program?

Each group will move through the Master's program together as a cohort in two years.

Q. Will I have to pay out-of-state tuition if I'm not from Wisconsin?
