About the Graduate Fellowship

The Graduate Fellowship offers a holistic approach to graduate school by integrating academic classes, work experience, and opportunities for personal growth.

Graduates of the fellowship are well prepared to:

  • Communicate effectively for a variety of purposes
  • Demonstrate a range of outdoor education and recreation skills

The combination of skills and knowledge will qualify fellows to choose among a variety of employment opportunities such as:
  • Educators and program directors in nature centers, residential environmental learning centers, science centers, and boarding schools
  • Outreach educators for resource agencies and conservation groups
  • Residential coordinators for formal and non-formal education facilities
  • Instructors in outdoor programs
