As a self-supporting, NGO-like organization working at the grassroots towards a sustainable future, the Global Environmental Management Education Center (GEM) is a "can-do" solutions oriented unit for applied research and outreach education services in natural resources and environmental management.
Focused on small, simple, local actions to empower impoverished communities primarily overseas, GEM's purpose is pioneering and applying practical learning methods and technology to solve natural resource problems by linking faculty, students, and citizens worldwide.
