2009 Conference Travel and Lodging
Location
The 2009 conference will be held at the Dreyfus University Center at UW-Stevens Point
in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Parking
UW-Stevens Point parking information:

Cars and vans should park in Lot X or LOT R. Lot X is metered
parking for up to 12 hours; please bring at least $3.50 in quarters to pay
for seven hours of parking. LOT R is for just 4
hours parking - you will have to replenish the meter.
School busses:
You may park in LOT Q. There
is no fee or reservation required.
Lodging
Groups traveling long distances to participate in the
conference may wish to stay overnight in the Stevens
Point area. There are several hotels in Stevens Point,
with room prices ranging from $45 to $80 per night.
The Ramada
Hotel is offering a special conference rate for
Tuesday, November 17th: $70 Single / $80
Double. This
includes a complimentary continental breakfast, free
parking, discount coupon for food, and use of the pool.

Central Wisconsin Environmental Station
As an alternative to hotels, groups are welcome to stay
at the Central Wisconsin Environmental Station
(CWES), a teaching and learning center located 19 miles
east of Stevens Point, on glacial
Sunset Lake. The cost is $25 per person
which includes hostel type bunk bed lodging on Tuesday,
November 17th and a hot breakfast early on Wednesday,
November 18th.
Groups will be assigned
lodging either in a log cabin or lodge, and may be
sharing space with another school group if in Walker
Lodge. Guests should bring their own pillows,
blankets/sleeping bag, and toiletries.
