Power Up Wisconsin: Charging Ahead to an Energy Efficient Future The 2005 Governor's High School Conference on the Environmenttheme was Power Up Wisconsin: Charging Ahead to an Energy Efficient Future. Conference sessions fell into three strands: Energy Rules, Energy News, and Energy Tools. Each high school in Wisconsin was invited to send up to eight students to the conference. These students will served as "ambassadors" and were required to bring a student energy exhibit to share. Teachers were encouraged to recruit students who had an active interest in the environment and who showed leadership potential. Individual students or non school-based groups were also encouraged to participate. The cost of the conference, which included lunch, was $10 per person if postmarked on or before September 30, 2005 and $15 per person if postmarked after September 30, 2005. |
