Located on the shores of Amy Belle Lake, nestled between
Germantown and Menomonee Falls, YMCA Camp Minikani can be found
in Hubertus, WI. Three solar panels greet you as pull in
the main entrance to the property. The solar panels are linked
in to a website that monitors the solar panels’ activity and

Gateway West Sustainable I, the new
headquarters for Environmental Systems, Inc. (ESI) is located in
Havenwoods Environmental Awareness Center, located in Havenwoods State Forest, has a wind turbine next to the building to demonstrate wind energy. This Center is open for field trips and welcomes your call at 414.527.0232. A printed calendar of events is also available.
Kroehler Homestead Nature Preserve located at 4202 Pioneer Road in Richfield is a good place to observe solar panels and a wind turbine used to create alternative energy. Call 262.644.8771 to learn more!
Visit the Milwaukee County Zoo to see solar panels installed near the Stackner Heritage Farm. Also visit the new Karen Peck Katz Conservation Education Center at the Zoo to observe the environmentally friendly "green" roof which demonstrates innovative and cost-effective stormwater Best Management Practices (BMP) and energy conservation. Riveredge Nature Center in Newburg is one of the largest nature centers in southeastern Wisconsin consisting of 350 acres of prairies, forests, ponds, and marshes along the Milwaukee River. Ken Dentice, Instructor at Madison Area Technical
College, would like to share information with high school students
regarding careers in the building trades, building contracting, home
inspection, building inspection, management and
supervision, and executive leadership arenas. His training includes
successful completion of a state-sponsored Apprenticeship in
Carpentry-Construction, a B.S. Degree in Business Management, and an
M.S. Degree in Management, Organization Leadership. Positions he has
held include the Director of Building and Inspections, Flood Plain, and
Zoning Administrator for the City of La Crosse, WI; Chief Building
Inspector for the City of Brookfield, WI; Building Construction
Inspector for the City of Milwaukee, WI; and owner of a General
