Come save lives at the blood drive! With just one pint of your blood, you can save up to three peoples lives! Donated blood will go to cancer patients, those with clotting disorders, burn patients, accident victims, and more-please take the time to help out.

Facts
- Every two seconds, someone needs blood.
- Less than 5% of the eligible population actually donates.
- Roughly half of all blood donations across the U.S. are collected at blood drives.
What is it all about?
The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point helps the BloodCenter of WI and the American Red Cross in reaching out to those in need of blood donations. Four times a year, we invite students, community members, and faculty of UWSP to leave their mark on the community, or even the country, by donating whole blood, double red cells, or platelets.
Who can donate?
To donate blood you must be at least 16 years of age (with a parental consent form) and weighing at least 110 pounds. You will also need a student ID, driver's license or donor card.
If you have gotten a tattoo or piercing from a licensed Wisconsin parlor, you now have no waiting period to give blood.
Anyone feeling healthy the day of donation may donate. You can give right away!
