Awards & Scholarships
High-achieving students in our programs are eligible for many
significant awards and scholarships, thanks to generous support from our
alumni, friends, and corporate partners. Increasingly, our awards
reflect the University’s vision of providing challenging learning and
leadership experiences that prepare students to be global citizens.

- Outstanding junior or senior (with at least one full time
semester remaining) with minimum 3.25 GPA, participation in
School activities and intent to enter the field of public
accounting or related field.

- Junior or senior Economics major or minor who demonstrates
exceptional promise in financial planning.

- Gordon Haferbecker Scholarships
- Senior majoring in the School of Business and Economics with
a minimum 3.25 GPA in major related courses and shows character,
need and scholarship.

- John C. Seramur Scholarship
- Junior or senior (with at least one full time semester
remaining) majoring in Business Administration, Economics, or
Managerial Accounting with minimum 3.25 GPA and high scholastic
achievement and demonstrated leadership.

- Outstanding junior or senior as evidenced by academic
achievement and demonstrated leadership. Must be a major in
Business Administration, Economics, or Managerial Accounting
with a minimum 3.25 GPA.

- Outstanding Business, Accounting, or Economics major, junior
or returning senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrates
leadership and participates in campus and community activities.

- Outstanding Business, Accounting, or Economics major to be
used for International study.

- Michael and Melba Sullivan Scholarship
- UWSP Business, Economics or Accounting majors who are
enrolled in a UWSP International program for the next academic

- Rainbow Casino Business Administration Scholarship
- Business Administration student who is at least 21 years old
and in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.5 or better.
Preference will be given to non-traditional students that
demonstrate financial need.

- Randy and Patricia Cray Scholarship for Academic Achievement
- Outstanding junior or senior as evidenced by academic
achievement and demonstrated leadership. Must be a major in
Business Administration, Economics or Managerial Accounting with
a minimum 3.50 GPA.

- Richard B. & Mary Lou Judy Scholarship in Entrepreneurship and Small
Business Management
- Junior or senior major in Business Administration with
outstanding work ethic, recognized leadership and volunteerism
activities, and a demonstrated/special interest in small
businesses and entrepreneurship.

- Scott and Julie Wallace Internship Scholarship
- Student must be a major in the School of Business and
Economics. In addition, the student must be registered for an
internship for credit and complete the internship from the
previous spring, summer, or fall internship programs. Preference
given to a junior or senior.

- Sentry / Carl N. Jacobs Scholarship
- Outstanding junior or senior business administration or
managerial accounting major with a minimum GPA of 3.25. Special
consideration is given to students pursuing actuarial sciences
in honor of Carl N. Jacobs.

- Stevens Point Board of Realtors Scholarship
- Outstanding junior or senior as evidenced by academic
achievement and demonstrated leadership. Must be a major in
Business Administration, Economics, or Managerial Accounting
with a minimum 3.25 GPA.
