BIO

I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) and Masters’ in Management Science (Taxation) from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. I have been a CPA for approximately 20 years specializing in advanced tax research and planning. I started my career at a Big 4 Public Accounting firm in Milwaukee, WI working within the Merger & Acquisition area. While at that firm I also published a number of tax planning articles including an article that was published in a national accounting journal; as well as having authored a “new tax law” booklet that was distributed to clients and the firms’ offices throughout the country. While at a large regional firm I initiated various programs such as a database for research memorandums; assigned tax specialty areas among the firms’ tax personnel; and initiated “tax alerts” advising the firm’s staff of significant tax law changes or significant court cases. I have also appeared as a guest expert on financial radio programs.

My work experience includes a chief accounting position over a conglomerate of entities, including a diverse group of businesses ranging from Investment to professional sports teams. I have also worked with an international publicly-traded (NYSE) company that has provided me with invaluable experience in dealing with various reporting requirements with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). I also testified indirectly to the United States Senate – Finance Committee on needed charitable reform.

I also have a masters’ degree in clinical psychology from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. That education has provided me with a unique set of abilities to train, mentor and supervise; as well as be extremely successful in negotiating/settling Internal Revenue Service and state income tax audits.
