Stefan Ruediger

BIO

I have been an Assistant Professor at UW Stevens Point since the fall 2009. Before coming to Stevens Point I taught for 2 years as a Lecturer at UW Parkside.

My education includes a PhD and an MA in Economics from UW Milwaukee, an MA in Economics and Finance and a BA in Business Management and Economics from the University of Potsdam in Germany.

My research is focused on Development Economics, Macroeconomics, and Economic Education. I am particularly interested in the relationship between technological change, intellectual property rights, and education. I have presented my research at the University of Minnesota, the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, Marquette University, the Southern Economic Association Meetings, and at the Midwest Economic Association Meetings.

I also have a background in track and field and bobsledding. From 2003 until 2008 I was the throws coach for the track team at UW- Milwaukee. During my career as an athlete I was a member of the Germany national team in track and field and the German national team in bobsledding.
