BIO
I have been a member of the Central Wisconsin community for over 30 years and a part of the UW-Stevens Point faculty since 1998. My education includes a Master of Science degree in Management Technology from UW-Stout and a Master of Arts degree in Communication from UW-Stevens Point. My undergraduate degree is also from UW-SP in Interior Architecture. My transition to a teaching career comes after extensive experience in a variety of industries including banking, manufacturing, and home furnishings. I have worked with small businesses in the Central Wisconsin area and I am committed to entrepreneurial growth in our region.
I have been awarded many development grants including two highly competitive UW-System Center for Business and Economics Research (CIBER) grants to study businesses in Asia. I also was selected as a Wisconsin Teaching Fellow. My teaching areas include management information systems, and courses in retail and global management. All of my classes include practical application of theory, designed to promote active learning. My current research includes outsourcing issues, fast fashion and supply chain management, and cultural awareness. I am a world traveler and have lead programs abroad with UW-SP students. Future plans include a Fall 2011 semester in London.
