Kathryn Pollock and Aimee Strebig teamed for a victory at No. 1 doubles as the lone winners for the UW-Stevens Point women�s tennis team in an 8-1 dual match loss to UW-Whitewater on Wednesday at the Multi-Activity Center.

The duo defeated UW-Whitewater�s Jeanna Anderson and Jenny Hubacek 8-4 in an eight-game pro-set to raise their season record to 3-0. The Warhawks won all six singles matches in straight sets.

The conference-opening loss was the first of the season for UW-Stevens Point, which fell to 2-1 overall. UW-Whitewater is now 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the WIAC.

UW-Stevens Point will play two more WIAC matches this weekend when it travels to UW-River Falls on Friday and UW-Stout on Saturday.
