Ranked 25th in NCAA Division III Preseason Poll
The UW-Stevens Point softball team is ranked
25th in the NCAA Division III preseason rankings by the National
Collegiate Fastpitch Coaches Association.
The Pointers return nearly every player from
last year�s squad that finished 26-15 overall and placed third in the
Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 9-7 record. UW-Eau
Claire is the only other WIAC team ranked at No. 16. Defending national
champion St. Thomas (Minn.) is the preseason top-ranked team.
UW-Stevens Point opens its season on Sun., March
19 against Westminster (Pa.) in Kissimmee, Fla.
