Pointers Drop
Tight Game With Fontbonne
The teams combined for just
three hits, but Fontbonne (Mo.) took advantage of three UW-Stevens Point
errors in taking a 2-0 victory over the Pointers in a non-conference
softball game Monday in Kissimmee, Fla.
The Griffins were held to
two hits by Pointers' hurler Kelly Jablonski, who struck out three and
walked two while allowing two unearned runs. UW-Stevens Point had one hit
in the contest, coming on a fifth-inning single by Rebekah Bauer.
UW-Stevens Point's second
game against Western Connecticut State was halted in the fifth inning due
to rain with the score tied 2-2. The game will be completed on Wednesday.
The Pointers are now 2-1 and have a day off on Tuesday.
