Prawat Receives Conference and
National Honors
UW-Stevens Point soccer player Amanda Prawat was
named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference offensive player
of the week and also earned selection to the D3kicks.com national team
of the week for her record-setting performance last weekend.
Prawat, an Oregon native, scored a single-match school record five goals
and added an assist in UW-Stevens Points 9-0 win over UW-Stout on
Saturday. She scored all of her goals in the first 63 minutes of the
90-minute contest against a defense that had not allowed more than four
goals in a match this season.
She is the second
UW-Stevens Point player to earn both honors this season as Kaylee Weise
earned the same awards earlier this year.
Through Tuesday's win at
St. Norbert, Prawat leads the WIAC with 18 goals and six assists for 42
points. She has scored a point in all but one of the Pointers wins and
ties this year as the team has a 10-3-2 overall record.
