Weise Helps Pointers Put Away UW-Superior

Kaylee Weise contributed on all three of UW-Stevens Point's second half
goals as the Pointers posted a 4-0 women's soccer victory over UW-Superior
on Friday at the Pointer Soccer Bowl.
UW-Stevens Point scored
the first goal of the match when Gwen Blasczyk took a pass from Amanda
Prawat 15 yards from net and blasted a shot into the upper corner.
The match remained 1-0
until Weise and Anna Van Stippen helped spark the offense in the final
17 minutes. Van Stippen threaded a long pass through the defense and
Weise finished the play with a goal for a 2-0 advantage.
Weise fed Liz Kidd for a
shot from 20 yards out that Kidd converted past the keeper to make it
3-0. Weise struck again on a breakaway off a pass from Van Stippen with
3:31 remaining to finish the scoring.
UW-Stevens Point fired 22
shots in the second half and held a 37-4 advantage for the match. The
Pointers' defense posted its fifth shutout of the year with Meredith
DeCaluwe making three saves.
