Baseball - Position Player

Steve Wiczek (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) - The senior designated hitter batted .500 and picked up a hit in every game in the Pointers weekend series with top-ranked UW-Whitewater. In the first game on Friday, Wiczek sparked a five-run second inning with leadoff home run. He added a three-run bomb in the third inning of the nightcap. For the weekend, Wiczek went seven-for-14 at the plate with two home runs. He accumulated 13 total bases for a slugging percentage of .929. Wiczek scored six runs and drove in five. He has hit safely in 39 of the Pointers' 40 games this season.

Baseball - Pitcher

J.C. Reinke (Bonduel, WI/Bonduel) - The sophomore lefthander picked up his second complete game shutout in as many starts when he blanked the nation's top-ranked team UW-Whitewater 10-0 on Friday. Reinke held the Warhawks, the top hitting team in the country, to just two hits over seven innings. Reinke did not allow a runner past second base until there was one out in the seventh inning. He had seven strikeouts and surrendered just two walks.
