COACHING STAFF

Breitbach Named Football Teams Offensive Coordinator

Greg Breitbach, who spent the past four seasons as an assistant coach at Lewis & Clark College (Ore.), has been added to the UW-Stevens Point football coaching staff as the teams offensive coordinator.

Breitbach, a 1994 graduate of Western Montana University, also served as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at his alma mater before moving to Lewis & Clark in 1998.

Breitbach will also serve as the facility coordinator of the Health Enhancement Center at UW-Stevens Point. He held a similar position in the Pamplin Sports Complex at Lewis & Clark for two years. Breitbach earned a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Portland State University in 2002.

Im excited to be a part of a long tradition of athletics success at UW-Stevens Point, Breitbach said. Im looking forward to becoming a part of the football success and helping coach Miech continue to win games.

At Lewis & Clark, Breitbach was the wide receivers and special teams coach, helping the Pioneers lead the Northwest Conference in passing the past two seasons. While at Western Montana, he helped the Bulldogs finish second in the NAIA in passing yards in 1997 and rank among the top 10 nationally in total offense in both 1997 and 1998.

UW-Stevens Point was 6-4 last season and has won or shared Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles three of the past five years.
