Pointers win 11th straight

PITTSBURGH - The University of Wisconsin men's basketball team won its 11th straight game on Monday night with an 80-43 defeat of La Roche College.  The win improves the Pointers to 11-0 for the fourth time in school history, matching starts of 1938, 1935 and 1932.

"This was a pretty solid performance for us and I am happy with that," said Pointers head coach Jack Bennett.  "The one thing that I wished for out of this trip was a little stiffer challenge.  That is not a knock on the teams we played, but we were easily able to out-muscle them."

Three players scored in double figures for the Pointers as Jason Kalsow led the way with 16, followed by Nick Bennett with 12 and Josh Iserloth 10.
