Pointers roll past Carroll, 82-63
Central Wisconsin Sunday

WAUKESHA - The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point men remained hot following a 100-point performance, getting double-digit output from three players on the way to a 82-63 win over Carroll on Saturday evening.

The win was the Pointers' eighth to start the season, the best start for a UW-SP men's team since the 1992-93 season. The 1938-39 Pointers went 11-0.

UW-SP gets some time off for finals before hosting Viterbo on Friday.

"We knew it was going to be a tough game," head coach Jack Bennett said. "Wednesday (a win over conference rival Stout) was so emotional, and last night (a big win over Coe College) was exciting because we were in a new arena.

"We played some great ball after the first five minutes."
Josh Iserloth continued his recent torrid pace, tallying game highs in points (25) and rebounds (nine). Nick Bennett went 3-of-4 from the 3-point arc for 15 points, and Jason Kalsow added 10 points.

Kevin Lauer led Carroll (2-4) with 20 points and six rebounds.

UW-SP outrebounded Carroll 43-13.
