Pointer men continue road show
Win over Marian leaves UW-SP 4-0 on the road

OSHKOSH - The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point men's basketball team is putting on a road show that would be the envy of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby.

Josh Iserloth scored a game-high 24 points as UW-Stevens Point remain perfect on the road with a 67-54 victory over Marian College at the UW-Oshkosh Kolf Center on Sunday.

With their fourth win in as many game away from home, the Pointers raised their overall record to 5-0. UW-SP is now 6-0 all-time in the Badger State Challenge.

"We've taken some great strides here on the road. It's allowed us to bond as a team and find answers to some questions," said UW-Stevens Point coach Jack Bennett.

Iserloth placed the Pointers on his broad shoulders and carried them to a 40-26 lead at halftime.  Going with a hot hand, Iserloth scored 21 of his 24 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including a pair of 3-pointers, in the first half.  Kalonji Kadima, who finished with 13 points, made all three of his shots in the opening 20 minutes as UW-SP shot 58 percent from the field.

With the game well in hand, Bennett got a chance to get a good look at his bench and attempt to develop some depth for the upcoming Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference season.  Nick Bennett turned in a strong performance in a reserve role with nine points, including 2-of-3 shooting from 3-point range.

The Pointers were credited with assists on 20 of the team's 25 field goals.

"We had real good balance and I thought shored up our defense," coach Bennett said. "Any time you make a pass that leads to a basket it means you have an unselfish team."
