Pointers defeat Coe

Cedar Rapids, Iowa - Four players scored in double figures as the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point men's basketball team defeated Coe College 81-62 in a non-conference game Sunday.

Jason Kalsow, a freshman, shot 9-for-10 from the field and finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Pointers, who improved to 2-0 on the season.

Coe College is off to an 0-2 start on the year after losing their opener at Platteville, 79-71.

Josh Iserloth had 17 points for UW-Stevens Point, and Kalonji Kadima and Ron Nolting pitched in with 12 points apiece as the Pointers connected on 56 percent of their shots from the field.  Kadima also dished out five assists.

Coe led 16-14 early on, but the Pointers went on a 17-2 run to take control.  By halftime, Stevens Point was up 41-26.
