Pointers Force Tie at UW-Superior

SUPERIOR - The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point men's
hockey team rallied from a two-goal deficit to tie UW-Superior 3-3 on Friday in
a non-conference matchup. The Yellowjackets entered the game ranked third in the
latest USCHO Division III poll.
Down 3-1 after two periods, UWSP (7-4-3) got back into the game on a power-play
goal by Adam Kostichka - his team-leading 11th goal of the season. Mike Brolsma
and Chris Gehrke assisted on the play.
UWSP's Nate Sorenson worked the score back up to a tie when he found the net for
just his second goal of the season.
Jay Dardis scored the first two of the night for Superior (9-0-5).
The Pointers travel today to face undefeated St. John's - ranked sixth in the
USCHO poll. Face-off is set for 2 p.m.
