Another Fourth at WIAC Championships
For the sixth straight year, the UW-Stevens
Point women�s golf team placed fourth at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate
Athletic Conference championships, finishing just two strokes out of
second place at Sunday�s meet in Superior.
The Pointers entered the day in second place
after shooting a 325 on Saturday, but had a second-day total of 342 to
finish with a two-day score of 667. UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater tied
for second place with a 665 score. UW-Eau Claire shot a 314 for the
second straight day and easily won the meet with a 628.
Susie Lewis was fifth overall for the
Pointers, posting an 82 on Sunday to finish with a two-day total of 159.
Courtney Timblin carded an 86 to finish with a 167 and Katie Kautz shot
an 83 to complete the tournament with a 170. Sarah Mosher shot a 91 for
a two-day score of 172. |
