Pointers in
the Hunt After First Day of WIAC Meet
The UW-Stevens Point women�s golf team had one
of its best performances of the season at a perfect time, posting a
first-day score of 325 to sit in second place after the opening day of
the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference meet in Superior.
Susie Lewis carded a 77 for the Pointers.
UW-Stevens Point is just 11 strokes behind leader UW-Eau Claire and
holds a 10-stroke advantage over third place UW-Oshkosh.
Courtney Timblin and Sarah Mosher each added
an 81 and Katie Kautz finished with an 87. The tournament continues with
18 holes again on Sunday. |
