Susie Lewis tied her own single-round
UW-Stevens Point women�s golf school record with a 73 on the second day
of the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational on Sunday in Bloomington, Ill.
 Lewis shot a 76 on Saturday to place sixth
overall with a 149 total and lead the Pointers to an eighth place team
finish in the 24-team meet. UW-Stevens Point had a two-day score of 639
with DePauw (Ind.) taking the team title with a 601 score.
Lewis� previous school-record performance also
came at Illinois Wesleyan when she shot a 73 on the opening day of the
2003 tournament.
Katie Kautz had a 76 on Saturday and an 85 on
Sunday to finish 39th overall with a 161 total. Courtney Timblin
contributed a 79 on the second day after an 84 on Saturday, placing 52nd
with a 163 total. Sarah Mosher was 62nd overall with an 82 on Saturday
and an 84 on Sunday for a two-day score of 166.
The Pointers will compete next weekend at the
UW-Whitewater Invitational. |
