Men�s Cross
Country Moves Up to 17th in Rankings
With a solid showing in last weekend�s Notre
Dame Invitational, UW-Stevens Point�s men�s cross country team surged
nine spots to 17th in this week�s NCAA Division III rankings by the U.S.
Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Pointers finished eighth of 25 teams in
the meet which featured primarily small Division I schools.
UW-Stevens Point will rest most of its top
runners at this weekend�s Ripon Invitational in preparation for the
UW-Oshkosh Invite on Oct. 14. The UW-Oshkosh meet will feature four of
the top eight teams in the country with top-ranked Calvin (Mich.),
third-ranked UW-Oshkosh, sixth-ranked New York University and
eighth-ranked Haverford (Pa.) all taking part.
