Nechuta Leads Pointers to Eighth at Notre Dame
Travis Nechuta placed 15th overall as the
UW-Stevens Point men's cross country team was eighth among 25 schools at
the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday in South Bend, Ind.
Nechuta posted a time of 25:26 to lead the
Pointers at the meet that featured primarily small Division I schools.
Calvin (Mich.), the top-ranked Division III school, easily won the meet
with UW-Oshkosh placing second.
Mike Ormond added a 42nd place finish with a
time of 25:51, while Dominick Meyer was 60th in 26:08. Phil Richert
placed 76th overall in 26:17 and Brad Seeley was 85th in 26:24.
The Pointers compete next weekend at the Ripon
Invitational.
