Mitchler and Stanley Pace Pointers at Minnesota
UW-Stevens Point had two of the top five individual finishers to
finish sixth overall in the Division II race at Saturday�s University of
Minnesota women�s cross country invitational in Minneapolis.
Jenna Mitchler placed
second overall in 22:23 and Teresa Stanley was fifth in 22:49 over the
six-kilometer course. The Pointers had 162 team points to finish one
point behind fifth place Wartburg in the 24-team event. UW-La Crosse won
the meet with 60 points.
Ashleigh Potuznik placed 31st overall in 23:56
and Hannah Dieringer was 46th in 24:14. Erin Koerner was 78th in 24:51.
The Pointers are ranked 13th in Division III
and compete next weekend at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend,
Ind. |
