Ormond Leads Pointers to Fourth at Augustana
Mike Ormond placed third overall as the UW-Stevens Point men's cross
country team finished fourth of 33 teams at Friday's Augustana
Invitational in Rock Island, Ill.
Ormond posted a time of
24:52 over the eight-kilometer course as the Pointers finished with 133
team points. Augustana won the meet with 59 points. Wheaton was second
with 94 points and the University of Chicago was third with a 130 team
score.
Dominick Meyer placed 15th
for the Pointers with a time of 25:14. Travis Nechuta was 23rd overall
at 25:22 and Denton Helms was 43rd at 25:46. Phil Richert rounded out
the Pointers' top five runners wit ha 49th place finish at 25:57.
UW-Stevens Point will
compete at the Notre Dame Invitational on Fri., Sept. 30 in South Bend,
Ind. |
