Women Dominate in Iowa; Men Second at Lawrence

APPLETON - The UWSP men's cross country
team took second out of 12 teams with 69 points at the Lawrence
Invitational. Carthage won the invitational.
James Tesmar had the highest finish for the Pointers, finishing eighth
overall in 27 minutes, 31 seconds. Jason Lisowe (13th), Denton Helms
(14th) and Joe Rodriguez (15th) capped a strong pack run for the
Pointers.
DECORAH, Iowa - The UWSP women's cross country easily won the 14-team
Luther invitational by placing its five runners in the top six overall
finishers. The Pointers' 17 team points easily gave them the victory
over second-place Macalester.
Megan Craig won the individual title with a time of 18:27. Jenna
Mitchler was second overall at 18:56 and Leah Herlache rounded out the
top three with a time of 19:03.
