Cross Country Teams Both Land in Top
10 of National Rankings
The UW-Stevens Point women�s cross country
team vaulted six spots and the Pointer men�s cross country team moved
up one position to both hold top 10 positions in the latest NCAA
Division III rankings.
After beating UW-Oshkosh in a dual meet on
Saturday, the Pointer women climbed to No. 6 in the latest poll after
entering the preseason poll at No. 12. UW-Stevens Point�s top six
runners were separated by just 24 seconds in the dual.
On the men�s side, the Pointers rested
several of their top runners in a loss to top-ranked UW-Oshkosh, but
still moved up one spot to ninth.
Both teams will compete Saturday at the
UW-Whitewater Invitational. |
