He had a double in the fourth inning and scored three runs. Ryan Jones belted three-run home run in the fourth inning and tallied a two-run single in the fifth to finish with five runs batted in. Steve Wiczek opened the seventh with a solo home run, before Nat Richter ended the game with a two-run shot to right field.

Matt Polomis pitched a workman-like five and one-third innings for the Pointers to earn his fourth victory of the season. He scattered nine hits, struck out three and allowed four earned runs. Kevin Pankow earned the save in relief.
