Transfer & Reentry
Students: We would be happy to meet with Transfer or
Reentry students, once they follow the directions below:
The School of Education has a special section of our web
site dedicated to transfer and reentry students. We would
suggest starting there, and following the directions
carefully, as soon as possible. The section on “Preparing to
Transfer” is very important as that is what you will need to
do to help determine how long it will take to pursue your
teaching license. Once you have received your “credit
evaluation,” you are encouraged to call and make an
appointment to meet with an advisor in the School of
Education.
NOTES:
1. It is important to make sure we offer the teaching
major you are looking for.
2. You must be admitted to our program a semester prior
to starting the upper-level education course work.
3.
If you are pursuing a secondary or K-12 teaching license in
a specific subject, we recommend meeting with the department
of the major as well.
The web site is:
http://www.uwsp.edu/education. First choose
“Prospective Students,” then "undergraduate" “Transfer and
Reentry Students” and then make sure to check out the links
on the left of the webpage. These sections will direct you
to such things as getting a credit evaluation, requirements
to apply to our program, enrollment cap policies, curriculum
planning sheets, etc.
Please call the School of Education Advising Office if you
have any questions. Our phone number is (715) 346-2040.
