Scholarship and Fellowship Awards Available
The Bob Tomlinson Scholarship
Each year our UWSP chapter of Phi Kappa Phi awards one outstanding UWSP sophomore the Tomlinson Scholarship. Eligibility requirements include:
- Sophomore standing (30-39 credits by September 1, 2011)
- GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Full-time student status
- Attendance at the initiation ceremony on November 13, 2011 (unless studying abroad)

National Fellowship Awards
Every year the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi awards fifty-seven Fellowships of $5,000 each and three Fellowships of $15,000 each to members entering their first year of graduate or professional study. Our UWSP chapter selects one candidate from applications submitted to our chapter office to compete for the Society-wide awards. In 2011, 2010, 2007, and 1999 each of our chapter's nominees won a $5,000 award.
The chapter deadline to submit your application is noon March 26, 2012. Turn in your application at the Student Affairs Office, 212 Old Main, UWSP. Fellowship eligibility, instructions, and applications are only available online on the national Web site.
Study Abroad Grants
Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Grants are designed to help support undergraduates as they seek knowledge and experience in their academic fields by studying abroad. Forty-five $1,000 grants are awarded each year. In 2006 and 2007, six UWSP students were each awarded a Study Abroad Grant worth $1,000.
Further information is available on the national Web site. Applications are submitted directly to the national office. The deadline to submit your Study Abroad application materials is April 1, 2012.
