The UWSP Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi wishes to recognize campus faculty and staff members who have made outstanding achievements in their fields. The criteria and limits observed in electing persons to membership are determined by each individual chapter, but always within the framework of the society's bylaws.
Faculty and staff members whose scholastic record and outstanding achievements have rendered them worthy of membership may be elected in limited numbers. In addition, members of the faculty or staff who do not hold a collegiate degree, but who have distinguished themselves professionally, may also be elected as honorary or distinguished members. Faculty and staff members nominated should be student oriented, support honor and excellence in academics, and show a willingness to support the UWSP Phi Kappa Phi chapter.
We ask you to assist us by nominating someone from your area who merits recognition for exemplary achievement. As you select your nominee, please consider these criteria:
- A minimum of five years of service at UWSP
- A record of distinguished accomplishments in one's field (we understand the type of accomplishment depends upon the practices and expectations in one's discipline or field)
- Supports honor and excellence in academics
- Student oriented
- Willingness to support the UWSP Phi Kappa Phi chapter
Please note that if selected for PKP membership, the nominee is required to become a member in the society and to attend the induction ceremony which will be held at the Dreyfus University Center on Sunday, November 13, 2011.
Only nominations from individuals will be considered. Nominations processed through committees and/or departments units will not be eligible for consideration for membership. Nominations must be endorsed by a current Phi Kappa Phi member. The Faculty/Staff Nomination Form details the nomination process and deadline, and contains a list of current UWSP members. If you have questions about this process, please contact Maureen Giblin, PKP President at 346-2150 or email at mgiblin@uwsp.edu.
