Raffle License

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is licensed by the State of Wisconsin-Department of Administration Division of Gaming to conduct up to 200 raffle drawings during a one year period.

 


Class A
The license type required to conduct a raffle in which some or all of the tickets for that raffle are sold on days other than the same day as the raffle drawing.


Class B
The license type required to conduct a raffle in which all of the tickets for that raffle are sold on the same day as the raffle drawing.


Checklist
The following items must be submitted to the General Ledger office within two weeks of the raffle prize drawing date:
  • All sold ticket stubs and unsold tickets (deadwood)
    • Winning ticket stubs must be bunched separately and indentified with the prize(s) won
    • A statement of lost, stolen, or otherwise missing tickets must be provided if applicable
  • List of all prizes and their costs
    • If prizes are donated report the equivalent retail value for each
  • List of all raffle winners
    • Include name and address
    • Social security number is necessary if the value of the prize won is $500 or more
  • A copy of the ticket printer's invoice
  • A copy of all related expense invoices (i.e. prize purchases, posters, advertising, etc.)
  • A copy of the deposit receipt(s) (i.e. Bursar, Information Desk, etc.) for all ticket revenues
  • A copy of the Payment Order Form (i.e. Payment Services) for all payments to raffle prize drawing winner(s)
  • A completed copy of the raffle report
